Notice to Blue Ridge Residents:
On Memorial Day, May 25, 2020, a large number of residents gathered at the Bocce Court for their own Memorial Day celebration. In that there was a large number of residents gathered, those residents were not only in violation of an Executive Order issued by the Governor of this State (limiting gatherings to 10 people and requring social distancing), but were also engaging in conduct which created an unnecessary risk to the health and safety of the Blue Ridge Community during this pandemic, in light of the way that the Covid-19 virus spreads.
While the importance of remembering and honoring our veterans is beyond words, the HOA Board does not condone the conduct of those residents who gathered at the Bocce Court on Monday night, and any future gatherings which are in violation of Governor Cuomo’s current Executive Order, are not permitted.
Hopefully, Suffolk County will be able to return to normalcy sooner rather than later, but until then, the HOA Board respectfully requests that during this pandemic, Blue Ridge residents exhibit continued patience and consideration for the welfare of others so as to avoid Blue Ridge becoming a Covid-19 Hotspot.
Thank you,
Blue Ridge HOA
